Honda Racing F1 team signs Will Stevens

The Honda Racing F1 Team is delighted to announce that it has signed 16 year old British karting star Will Stevens under a long-term driver support agreement. Will is firmly established as one of the leading young kart racers in the world. For the 2008 season he is racing with the prestigious TonyKart Racing Team in the KF1 class competing in all the major European races, alongside participation in the WSK International Series and the World Cup in Japan.

Will maintains lead in WSK Championship after Round 2

The second round of the WSK International Championship took place at Angerville in France on 5/6 April.  Will again made the Super Pole stage through timed qualifying and posted the 7th fastest time giving him grid 5 for both his heats. The heats went well with him finishing second and third to earn him grid 2 for the first final.

Will stormed to victory in both Championship points scoring rounds at the first round of the WSK International Series at La Conca on 15/16 March. Having also secured third place in the new format Super Pole qualifying session before racing began, he left Italy with almost maximum points from the event to take a good lead in the Championship.

Leading British karter, Will Stevens, collected two FIA-CIK Trophies for his 2007 wins in the European and Asia-Pacific KF2 Championships at the FIA Awards Ceremony in Monaco this weekend. The star-studded gala event was attended by many of the current Formula One drivers and team principals, as well as the winners from other key motor racing championships.

Will Stevens, one of Britain's leading young karters won the championship title in the International Open Masters in superb style this weekend, with impressive victories in the final two races at Pista Val Vibrata in Italy to clinch Series honours. The Oxshott racer was on top form throughout this final event, with strong performances in the practice and qualifying sessions, as well as victory and a second place finish in the heats yesterday.
